Medium Monday #14: Burn Party

We all have that burning SPIRIT inside of us.

As part of our campaign in transitioning fully to SilverSwap, we want to ensure all of our users, investors, and projects that $SPIRIT token is still on our minds every single day. To show our seriousness, we will be posting weekly updates about our new initiative to BURN $SPIRIT every week.

“Where do the $SPIRIT tokens come from that you are burning ?” you ask. We will be burning the $SPIRIT tokens that we earn from the farms for our portion of the liquidity provided across all of our farm-eligible pools. This is no slight amount, we can assure you.

We have burned as of today, a batch of 1,295,000 $SPIRIT. The burns can be monitored soon on our ‘Portfolio’ page that will display in real-time the amount of $SPIRIT burned. We are also looking into how best to incentivize products and projects to join in on burning the farmed $SPIRIT that they earn when the provide liquidity with SpiritSwap.

We are doing this as a sign to everyone that we are here, we are listening, and we love $SPIRIT just as much as everyone else. We cannot reiterate enough how hard of a decision it was to make the choice to transition SpiritSwap to SilverSwap, but it was truly a needed change. To show our love, we have created this burn initiative.

We look forward to the future as we burn, build, and grow. SilverSwap will stand on the shoulders of the giant that is $SPIRIT and SpiritSwap. We are so ready to go on this journey together!
